Deadly?? Comments By: Brian on 2005-11-06
We have grapes and I have seen the dog eat the grapes off the vine and its still running amok, the dog that is. But our dog eats lots of strange things like carrots( it digs up) tomatoes (yes off the vine) but I can honestly say never onions. Maybe with cheese perhaps.. : )

I have been around dogs all my life. I have seen dogs eat things that would kill you and I. These naturally occurring veggis and fruits are not going to do anything except deplete your own food supply and teach your dog to beg for human food. this is simply an urban myth.

it's all true Comments By: kiraboo on 2007-10-22
onions cause anemia, grapes and raisins CAN harm kidney function (check it out on Snopes.com), and chocolate is definitely toxic to dogs. They don't affect all dogs the same and they don't keel over instantly by any means, but they are all harmful.

more harmful things to add to the list... Comments By: Tamaryn on 2008-06-06
mushrooms
peaches and apricots are okay but the pits are poisonous. so remove them first.
pointsettias (be careful over christmas time when these beautiful flowers are decorating your home)
citrus fruits are not very good for your dog...

You must not own a dog. My dog can eat just about anything. Coconuts, ginger and chocolate. These will not kill your pet.
