Fresh milk stored in freezer

Submitted by clare rigby

I buy plastic 4pint cartons of milk which I store in the freezer, (taking care to allow room for expansion) it usually defrosts in about 14 hours at room temp and you need to turn it upside down to unsettle some solids from the bottom before using

Occasionally a carton develops a hole and the milk leaks out, so I stand the carton in a big pan on the drainer overnight.
