Using gray water to save water and be kind to the garden

When doing your laundry. Instead of sending the wash water down the drain. Pipe it out to the garden it's called gray water and has no nasty bacteria and is good for the garden and saves on the water bill. Just lay a plastic pipe from the washing machine outlet through the wall or have a portable pipe that you take out of the door to the backyard. When you have finished washing the pipe can be packed up and stored until the next wash day. Do not use this water on vegetables that you are going to eat as you never quite know what they put in laundry detergents these days

Tipking Says:- If you live in a hard water area and you use salt to soften your water then this tip is not a good idea as salt can harm your plants..
