Cars. Deodorizing Cars

Why does your car still smell after you left the windows down all day? Because the odors have settled into the upholstery and carpet, so each time you step in and sit down, they are released into the air all over again.

Eliminate these odors by sprinkling Baking Soda (bicarbonate of soda) directly on fabric car seats and carpets. Wait 15 minutes (or longer for strong odors) and vacuum up the odors with the Baking Soda.

Another way to keep on top of the smells inside your car is by placing a sheet of Bounce behind the driver and passenger seat. Usually lasts 2 weeks. TipKing Says: Bounce is the product name of a fabric conditioner sheet that you throw into your tumble dryer.

Filling a saucer or small bowl with vinegar and placing it on the floor of your car overnight will remove odours from your vehicle. The vinegar actually absorbs the smell. It has also been said that ammonia will do the same, especially nice if you can obtain a scented brand. Make sure that you keep young children away from the bowl or saucer.

Yet another great idea is to spice up the smell of your car, just use a cotton ball wet with pure vanilla. The pure vanilla does have a high alcohol content and you need to keep it away from pets or kids but, setting it under the seats or on the back window could help. Great vanilla smell while eliminating odors.
